Day 1: Upon arrival in Cranbrook, a pre-arranged driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our first-night hotel. In the evening, the group will gather for a welcome presentation to prepare for the days ahead, focusing on camera settings and techniques for photographing hummingbirds. We’ll enjoy a group dinner together at the hotel.
Day 2-4: At our hummingbird photography lodge, you’ll have an unforgettable experience that combines stunning photography with a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our itinerary includes three full days dedicated to hummingbird photography, during which you will have the chance to capture frame-filling headshots and brilliant flight shots of these flying jewels.
In addition to hands-on photography sessions, we will also have slideshow presentations where you can learn tips and techniques from our trip leaders. We believe that one-on-one teaching is key to helping you improve your photography skills, so we will be there to help you every step of the way.
Whether you prefer natural light or multi-flash photography, we have got you covered. Our lodge provides the perfect backdrop for capturing stunning images of hummingbirds and we will teach you the best techniques to make the most of this incredible opportunity.
And it’s not just about the photography, you’ll also enjoy excellent meals, cozy cabins, and a fun, supportive group dynamic. We believe the best learning happens when you’re relaxed, inspired, and having a great time, and that’s exactly the environment we’ve designed for this trip.
