Testimonials

“I thought my trip was just magical. I had never invested that much in myself or my craft before. I really enjoyed working with Aaron, Dan and Scott and learned a few things that I had not done before, like photographing hummingbirds with flash, using back-button focus and using sequential shooting more frequently. I loved meeting all of my fellow photographers, talking with them, and learning about their passions. I traveled afterwards through the Kootenay and Banff National Parks and they were beyond magnificent. I can see why you all have such a love for the place.”

I had the absolute pleasure of attending a hummingbird photography workshop with Aaron’s Tours in May of 2024 and it was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, inspiring, and deeply rewarding.

Aaron was a fantastic leader, sharing invaluable technical tips and tricks that elevated our photography skills. His expertise, patience, and passion for wildlife photography made the learning process both accessible and engaging. The entire staff was equally impressive, attentive, and professional.

I can’t recommend this workshop enough. Whether you’re an experienced photographer or just starting out, Aaron’s Tours offers an exceptional opportunity to photograph these beautiful hummingbirds in a truly stunning setting. I will definitely be back!

This was my first workshop with Aaron’s Tours. Aaron is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject we were shooting. There are many teaching moments throughout the workshop. There are no silly questions! Aaron is passionate that everyone comes away with something and has a great time. The group is small, which allows for plenty of one-on-one time with either Aaron or a co-team member, both of whom are just as knowledgeable! The money is well spent on Aaron’s workshop. I was there to learn about the hummingbirds as well as gain knowledge about my camera (Canon 5D Mark IV). Aaron also has an online course, The Ultimate Wildlife Photography Course, which I am finding extremely helpful and highly recommend. Again, you never stop learning! Aaron’s Tours will not disappoint. I have signed up for three workshops in 2026!”
