As we travel throughout the top wildlife locations in Africa, our well-seasoned guides and spotters will maneuver us so we have the ability to capture frame-filling images of all the extravagant wildlife that inhabits the beautiful safari.
We will ride in style aboard private land cruisers custom outfitted to maximize your photographic experience. With just one photographer per row, you will be able to shoot out both sides of the vehicle at all times allowing you to capture any image from the best angle. Extra freight seats on board our charter flights have already been booked so you can carry your photography gear without having to worry about limiting weight restrictions and luggage fees, it also means your gear will be with you at all times for peace of mind.

Mara Intensive Wildlife Photography Tour Itinerary – 2026
Experience the Thrill of the World’s Premier Wildlife Photography Destination
Embark on an extraordinary journey to the Maasai Mara, where every moment is a masterpiece waiting to be captured. Our Mara Intensive Itinerary for 2026 ensures maximum time in the world’s most exhilarating wildlife photography park, providing you with unparalleled opportunities to photograph iconic African wildlife in their natural habitat.
Day 1: Arrivals
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred by private vehicle to the luxurious Emara Ole Sereni Hotel. Relax and unwind in your comfortable accommodations as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Welcome Presentation & Optional Pre-Trip Program
Spend the morning at your leisure, recovering from your journey or joining us for an optional pre-trip excursion. Visit the Giraffe Center and the Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can meet and support orphaned elephants. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and tour leaders.

Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve
After a hearty breakfast, we take a one-hour flight to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon landing, enjoy a thrilling game drive en route to our camp, arriving just in time for lunch. After check-in, embark on your first afternoon game drive, where the Mara’s abundant wildlife awaits your lens.

Days 4-5: Unlimited Game Drives in the Mara Conservancy – Triangle Reserve
Full days immersed in the unparalleled beauty of the Mara Conservancy. With unlimited game drives, you’ll have the chance to photograph the Big Five, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and countless other species. The Mara’s dramatic landscapes and vibrant wildlife offer endless opportunities for stunning shots.

Day 6: Transition to Sori Private Wing
A short game drive in the morning sets the stage for our journey to the next lodge. Arrive at the Sori Private Wing in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to explore new territories and capture fresh perspectives.

Days 7-10: Full Days in Masai Mara (Narok Side)
Full days in the heart of the Masai Mara’s Narok side promise unrivaled photographic opportunities. This region is renowned as one of the best places in the world to photograph big cats. It’s common on game drives to encounter large prides of lions, elusive leopards, swift cheetahs, and graceful serval cats all in a single outing. Our lodge is strategically located to place us right in the heart of the action during the early morning and late evening’s golden hours, providing exceptional lighting for your photographs. Additionally, the lodge’s position on a hill offers extraordinary opportunities for capturing striking silhouettes against the vibrant African sky.

Day 11: Departure
Enjoy a final morning game drive, followed by a leisurely breakfast. After check-out, transfer to the airstrip for a scenic one-and-a-half-hour flight back to Nairobi. Refresh and relax in a day room at the Four Points Sheraton before your evening departure from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
